President Donald Trump received a grand welcome at Windsor Castle during his second state visit, greeted by military honours and mounted troops. Alongside his wife Melania Trump, they were hosted by King Charles III, who welcomed them along with Prince William and Princess Kate. The royal couple met the Trumps upon their arrival at Windsor estate, followed by a procession of horse-drawn carriages with military bands playing national anthems. Trump and Charles inspected a guard of honour of British troops.

The UK spared no expense in the elaborate display, deploying 1,300 troops and 120 horses, including the largest guard of honour in recent memory. After a lavish state banquet, the second day of the visit involved high-level talks between President Trump and Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers, culminating in a press conference. Protesters and supporters gathered outside Windsor Castle, witnessing the ceremonial events and interactions between the dignitaries.

The visit concluded with a farewell ceremony outside Chequers, where the US president and first lady Melania Trump bid goodbye before boarding Air Force One.
