Lewis Hamilton expressed surprise at his rare crash during the Dutch Grand Prix, where he lost control of his Ferrari on a banked corner. Rain had been falling before the incident, causing his car to understeer and collide with the barrier, damaging the front-right wheel.

While Hamilton was unsure of the exact cause of the crash, he noted that his car had felt promising up to that point. Despite finishing 12th in the previous race, he was running seventh before the crash and was optimistic about the pace of his car. The timing of the crash also impacted his teammate Charles Leclerc, who had just pitted for fresh tires.

Following the incident, a contentious duel between Leclerc and George Russell unfolded, leading to an investigation by race stewards. If Leclerc receives a penalty, it will affect his race at Monza. Leclerc’s race also ended prematurely after a collision with Kimi Antonelli.

The day was also marked by an incident involving a rookie error from a Mercedes driver who collided with Leclerc, causing significant damage to both cars. Despite the setbacks, Formula 1 fans can catch all the action live with Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, including exclusive access to races and other content.
