Sky Sports F1 name Damon Hill replacement as 2025 TV presenting team confirmed

Published:

Sky Sports have added a new face to their Formula 1 punditry line-up – and confirmed the return of Jacques Villeneuve for more appearances in 2025.

Sky continue to have the rights to show F1 action in the UK this season, having extended its contract with the sport until 2029. And so plenty of our favourite presenters will be back in the paddock and on our screens over the course of the year.

One will be absent, though, after Damon Hill confirmed late last year that he would no longer be working with the broadcaster going forward. Speaking in February about his departure, the 1996 champion said he felt he was being “pushed back” by Sky, who he claimed favoured “younger, fresher names”.

To replace him, Sky have now announced the addition of Jamie Chadwick to their punditry pool. The 26-year-old is a three-time W Series champion, and in 2025 will combine her new TV duties with competing in the 2025 European Le Mans Series.

Sky have also confirmed that Villeneuve will return to our screens this year. The 1997 F1 champion made two appearances in front of the UK audience in 2024 and sparked plenty of debate with his no-nonsense analysis, including after he got into a fierce war of words with Daniel Ricciardo at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Speaking to Mirror Sport last December, Villeneuve said he would love to continue to work with Sky Sports if the chance came along. He said: “I had an absolute blast! It was so fun, it was a big group but a really good group. Of course, I would be happy to do more.”

Formula 1 fans can watch every practice, qualifying and race live with Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle in a new deal that saves £192.

As well as Sky Sports access, this includes more than 100 TV channels and free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.

The five-strong pool of presenters and reporters remains unchanged, with Simon Lazenby continuing as lead presenter and Natalie Pinkham and Rachel Brookes deputising. Ted Kravitz continues his long-held role of pit lane reporters, while Craig Slater is Sky Sports News’ F1 correspondent.

David Croft has become the voice of F1 over the years and remains as lead commentator. Sky have confirmed the return of Harry Benjamin as his deputy, suggesting that, like last year, Croft will not be present at all 24 races in 2025.

Fresh from being made an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List, Martin Brundle continues to be a member of the punditry pool. Now 65, he will continue to present his popular grid walk segment before each race at which he will be in attendance.
