Coronation Street fans thought Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Price) had finally found his true love with newcomer Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), although something just wasn’t right. Todd was left wondering why Theo keeps blowing hot and cold, and in tonight’s episode, he gets all the answers he needed.

Prior to her role on Coronation Street, Natalie became a household name during her appearance as Nurse Stella Davenport on The Royal between 2005 and 2008.
She then joined Emmerdale in 2010, playing the role of Alicia Metcalfe until 2015. Adding to her credits, Natalie has also starred in Hollyoaks and the Netflix hit, Fool Me Once.
Todd and Theo are just getting back on track as Theo returns to the cobbles to apologise for Todd after their latest misunderstanding.
After they “kiss and makeup” Todd returns to the funeral parlour all smiles. However, it doesn’t last for long after he Danielle turns up to arrange her mum’s funeral followed by her supportive husband, Theo.
Theo then explains to Todd that he’s been married for 19 years, but has known all his life that he’s gay.
A floored Todd then confides in his ex Billy Mayhew about what he’s just discovered, and he’s less than impressed as he tells Todd to stay clear.
“I think Theo is a good guy, he comes in with the best of intentions, as most people do, but he may upset some people with his behaviour.” James Cartwright said about his new character.
Speaking on landing his role on the cobbles, the star continued: “I was very excited, a lot of my memories growing up as a young boy were settling down with my gran after tea, she’d make me a crumpet and we’d sit there and watch Corrie. I feel like it’s a great honour to be a part of something that’s brought joy to people for so long.”
After Theo’s arrival, fans were left rooting for the pair, as one penned on X, formerly known as Twitter: “The chemistry between Todd and Theo! [fire emojis]”.
One fan even guessed Theo’s big secret, as they penned: “loved the Todd and Theo scenes in last nights #corrie, great stuff from Gareth Pierce and james Cartwright. I have a feeling Theo is secretly married, anyone else?
