Weather forecasts indicate that 11 UK counties may experience temperatures dropping to 5C or lower, with the Met Office cautioning about upcoming unpredictable weather patterns.

Following a recent heatwave that saw temperatures reaching 35C in London, a cooler period is anticipated for next week. The scorching bank holiday weekend broke temperature records, with Kew Gardens hitting 34.8C on Monday.

Expectations are for colder weather next Tuesday, with temperatures possibly ranging between 4C and 7C in Scotland and northern England. Meanwhile, regions like Northern Ireland, the Midlands, southern England, and Wales are likely to have minimum temperatures in the high single digits.

Specifically, parts of Scotland such as the Highlands and Aberdeenshire could see temperatures as low as 4C. The Met Office forecasts a changeable weather period from June 1 to June 10, with a mix of dry spells, showers, and occasional rain, mainly favoring the south and east.

Looking ahead to June 11 to 25, conditions may start unsettled but are expected to stabilize later, with temperatures likely to rise above average. The Met Office advises that temperatures will be near normal initially but are likely to increase later in the month.
